Information We Collect
Personal Information:
- Email address (for account creation and authentication)
- Name (optional, for personalization)
- Financial data you input, including income, expenses, budgets, and bills
- Sign-in information from Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, if you use those options
Automatically Collected Information:
- Device information, including device model and operating system version
- App usage statistics, including features used and session duration
- Camera and Photo Library data, only when you choose to scan or select a receipt, bill, or income document
Receipt, Bill, and Income Images
- Images you scan or upload are stored securely in our cloud storage using Google Firebase so you can view or export them later, including through the Download Receipts feature in Settings.
- Images are also sent to Google Gemini API for one-time text extraction.
How We Use Your Information and Our Legal Basis
- Provide and maintain the app's functionality (necessary to perform our contract with you)
- Process receipt and bill scanning using AI through Google Gemini API (contract)
- Generate financial insights and analytics (contract)
- Send push notifications for bill reminders and price alerts (legitimate interest, with opt-out available)
- Process subscription payments via Google Play Billing on Android or Apple's In-App Purchase / StoreKit on iOS (contract)
- Authenticate you via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, if chosen (contract)
Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored securely using Google Firebase Cloud Services.
- Financial data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- We do not sell your personal financial data to third parties.
Third-Party Services
- Google Firebase: Authentication, database, cloud storage, and push notifications
- Google Gemini API: AI-powered receipt and bill scanning
- Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase: Subscription payment processing
- Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In: Account authentication, if chosen
Camera and Photo Library Permission
We request camera and photo library access solely so you can scan or select receipts, bills, and income documents.
Images are:
- Uploaded securely to our cloud storage so you can view or export them later
- Sent to Google Gemini API for text extraction
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your financial data
- Opt out of non-essential notifications
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
If you are located in the European Economic Area or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International Data Transfers
Because our services are provided using Google Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure, your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Google maintains appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, for these transfers.
Data Retention
- Active account data: Retained while your account is active
- Financial records and images: You can delete individual transactions, along with their images, at any time
Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for users under 13 years of age (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or app notification.
